Amid gossip surrounding his relationship with his aide, Natalie Harp, U.S. President Donald Trump is facing fresh cheating accusations.

According to claims from his former caddie, Trump has reportedly been accused of cheating in golf to help ensure his club championship wins. While Trump boasts about winning approximately 40 club championships, his former caddie revealed his alleged cheat codes to ESPN writer Rick Reilly.

The revelation comes as Rory McIlroy has offered his assessment of the president’s golf skills.

Donald Trump’s Former Caddie Details His Alleged Golf Cheating

Donald Trump was recently honored at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster after winning the “super senior” and “senior division” after reportedly shooting a 70.

After Trump touted the win on social media despite ongoing cheating accusations, it caught the attention of ESPN writer Rick Reilly.

The ESPN writer was skeptical of Trump’s golf victory. Speaking with The Mirror, Reilly said he consulted “an ex-caddy” of Trump to learn more about the situation.

“What Trump has is caddies waiting out ahead on the course, fluffing up his lies, throwing his balls out of bunkers and picking up eight-foot putts they’ve decided he doesn’t need to make,” Reilly accused.

Elaborating on his comments, the journalist said he spoke “to an ex-caddy of his, who said, ‘Everybody knows the deal. He has to win the tournament and shoot the lowest score. It’s your job to make sure.’”

Reilly said, “So now I have the Championship Cheat Chart at 40 wins, though an onlooker at Bedminster taking a video of the awards said that according to his count, Trump is up to 43.”

In conclusion, the ESPN writer said, “Every time he buys or builds a new golf course, he plays the first round by himself and declares it the club championship.”

Rory McIlroy Says ‘President Could’ve Been Worse’ at Golf

However, despite Rick Reilly’s remarks, World No. 2 and Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy called Donald Trump a “decent player.” According to reports from Give Me Sport, McIlroy ranked Trump as the best player among every other president he played golf with.

“Well, the ones I’ve played with, actually Trump is probably the best player,” McIlroy said before adding, “He probably shot around 80.”

“He’s a decent player for a guy in his 70s,” the Grand Slam winner said, even though Trump recently celebrated his 80th birthday.

Further, despite being criticized for playing golf with Trump, McIlroy said their shared interest in golf was the only thing that brought them together.

“Golf was our common ground, nothing else. I’ve travelled all over the world and have been fortunate enough to befriend people from many different countries, beliefs, and cultures,” he said.

Later on, McIlroy even tweeted and defended his decision to play golf with Trump, saying, “I don’t agree with everything my friends or family say or do, but I still play golf with them.”
