Is Tom Brady about to add to his trophy collection as a broadcaster?
The seven-time NFL Super Bowl champion was among the most notable sports figures on television and streaming included among the nominees for the 47th Annual Sports Emmy Awards announced on Wednesday, March 25, by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Brady is nominated for the first time in his role as a FOX NFL analyst, and he'll be competing against Troy Aikman, Cris Collinsworth, Greg Olsen and Bill Raftery in the "Outstanding Sports Personality: Event Coverage" category.
Charles Barkley, Peyton and Eli Manning, Pedro Martinez, Candace Parker, J.J. Watt, Jason Kelce and Riichard Sherman were also former athletes-turned-broadcasters recognized as part of Wednesday's nominations. The awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at the Lincoln Center in New York.
