Taylor Momsen is remembering her friend Michelle Trachtenberg.
The musician and Gossip Girl alum shared a tribute to her late costar on Thursday, Feb. 26, one year after Trachtenberg died at age 39.
In her post on both Instagram and Facebook, Momsen, 32, shared photos of Trachtenberg as a young girl and during their Gossip Girl days, as well as a couple of snaps of them together over the years. She also reposted another tribute from Sarah Michelle Gellar on her Instagram Stories.
"It’s weird how the body clock remembers," Momsen wrote in her post's caption. "Last night I was sitting in my hotel room alone in São Paulo, I didn’t know what the date was (they all blend together on tour) and I was hit with an overwhelming sadness over Michelle."
She added, "Then I wake up and realize it’s been a year without her. Life is hard. I wish…I miss…I wish…"
"Love you friend," Gellar, 48, also commented on the post.

Momsen, who is currently on the road with her band The Pretty Reckless, starred on Gossip Girl as Jenny Humphrey from 2007 through her departure in 2010. Trachtenberg appeared on the show as Georgina Sparks from 2008 through 2012. She died last year as a result of complications of diabetes mellitus, the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to PEOPLE at the time.

The late actress, who was also known for her performance as Dawn Summers on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was also honored by Buffy costar Gellar, 48, on Thursday. Gellar wrote in an Instagram tribute that she was "not sure how it’s been a year" since the loss.

"I’m one of the lucky ones who has over 30 years of memories with you. From our first day on set together, to less than a year later, when you were already taller than me," she wrote. "But I first worked with [you] on All My Children. I watched you become a star with Harriet. You were great to my kids. Countless kids bdays you attended, even though I’m sure you had somewhere cooler to be."
Gellar concluded, "But most of all, when I think of you, that smile that took up your entire face and brought so much joy to others is what comes to mind. You may not have been with us long enough, but we will make sure everyone remembers."
Following Trachtenberg's death last year, Momsen described her friend as "smart and sassy, bold and sensitive, funny as f--- and filled with fire."
"I am so grateful to have had a friend like you in my life for so long. You were a true friend to me which is a rarity in this world and I can’t believe I won’t hear your voice again," Momsen wrote at the time. "I grieve with all her fans around the world, and my heart is with her family and loved ones."
