Taylor Farms is once again at the center of a food safety alert. Earlier this year, a major Cyclospora outbreak was linked to iceberg lettuce processed by Taylor Farms de Mexico, sickening thousands of people across the country. Now, Taylor Farms of Dallas, Texas, is recalling one of its salad kits because it may contain undeclared allergens.
What Products Are Being Recalled?
The recall involves 13.4-ounce bags of H-E-B Backyard BBQ Chop Salad sold at H-E-B stores in Texas. The affected kits have a best-by date of October 30, 2026, and UPC code 041220300457.
No other Taylor Farms products are currently included in the recall.

FDAWhy Are The Products Being Recalled?
The salad kits may contain undeclared soy and tree nuts, specifically almonds. Both are major food allergens, and people with sensitivities or allergies to either ingredient may be at risk for serious adverse reactions if they eat the product.

An allergic reaction to tree nuts or soy can show up in several ways, including skin reactions, digestive problems, swelling, or trouble breathing. In more severe cases, exposure can trigger anaphylaxis, which requires immediate medical attention.
To date, no adverse reactions have been reported.
What Should I Do If I Have The Affected Product?
Consumers should not eat the recalled salad. Instead, dispose of it or return it to the store for a full refund.
Customers with questions can contact Taylor Farms Monday through Friday at 855-455-0098 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. PST.
