Part of the fun of Survivor's first returnee cast in 10 seasons? It's too late for first impressions.

PEOPLE is celebrating the CBS reality competition's 50th season with a special issue, including exclusive interviews with Jeff Probst and the entire cast on location in Fiji just days before filming began.

From season one all-star Jenna Lewis to the show's most recently crowned winner, Savannah Louie, PEOPLE asked the cast to size up their competition. Are old school players looking to team up with contestants or take them out? Will previously castmates align, or do they have a bad taste from their previous season? Anyone here that you're especially excited to play with, or who you might work well as an alliance?

Dee Valladares from Survivor 45: When I see Kyle [Fraser], I see opportunity. We're both winners. We should look out for each other.

Kyle Fraser from Survivor 48: Cirie [Fields] — the fan boy in me is like, "This is awesome. I'm sitting with one of the greats." At the same time, that's scary.

Aubry Bracco from Kaôh Rōng (32), Game Changers (34) and Edge of Extinction (38): I've been very open about my love of Cirie.

Q Burdette from Survivor 46: Jonathan [Young], Coach [Wade], Geneieve — Genevieve will put poison in your coffee and ask you to drink it in front of her. I want that on my side. I don't need her poisoning me.

Christian Hubicki from David vs. Goliath (37): Rick Devens. I think he would be the Captain Kirk to my Mr. Spock.

Kamilla Karthigesu from Survivor 48: Everyone back home is going to lose their minds when they see I get to play with Coach because I won't shut up about Coach. He really is the Dragon Slayer.

Rizo Velovic from Survivor 49: I came on as a superfan. Seeing Coach here is unreal. Watching the show, you see him doing all these things, and I'm like, "All right, this guy's just doing it for the show." And then pregame here, he grunts, he randomly does these Tai Chi things, and I'm like, "That's actually him!"

Anyone who you're not thrilled or surprised to see here?

Cirie from Panama (12), Micronesia (16), Heroes vs. Villains (20) and Game Changers (34): Kyle, why? You just won yesterday! The ink ain't even dry on your check yet. What are you trying to prove, Kyle? That makes you public enemy No. 1 for me.

Kamilla: I am upset that Jeff did not disclose [that Kyle was returning] when he asked me, "Do you want to come play 50?" People will see us and be like, "They're definitely working together."

Joe Hunter from Survivor 48: It's like I was on national television, and Kyle gave me a wedgie, and then Kamilla came up and pulled it over my head...I won't come after them, but how could I trust them?

Chrissy Hofbeck from Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers (35): Aubry. She was vocal about not coming again, and I'm curious: Why?

Ozzy Lusth from Cook Islands (13), Micronesia (16), South Pacific (23) and Game Changers (34): Mike White. What does need to play Survivor for? I know he loves the game.

How are you feeling about the old school and new era divide?

Jenna Lewis from Survivor: Borneo (1) and Survivor: All-Stars (8): The young-uns probably were not born when I played my last season. Let that sink in! But I didn't come here to be irrelevant. I came here to be underestimated. As the Borneo rep, the sole and only, I'm going to play naively: "Oh, I'm so old school. I can barely find my keys, let alone an immunity idol."

Rizo: I find myself wanting to align with the older school, as a fan.

Savannah Louie from Survivor 49: I will say, a lot of these older players I grew up watching all look like they're in incredible shape. It's a little intimidating. I'm a bit worried that the new schoolers have been pregaming because there are so many Survivor-related events. They may have already formed tight bonds.

Emily Flippen from Survivor 45: The new era is probably more inclined to vote each other off than they are to work together. Everybody knows it's a game, that we leave friendships outside, and we pick it up whenever the game ends. We're all here to play for ourselves.

Charlie Davis from Survivor 46: I'm going to be a proper Boy Scout to the old schoolers. Scout's Honor, for everything. I was never a Boy Scout, so it doesn't matter if I break it.

Angelina Keeley from David vs. Goliath (37): It's going to be war out here. I'm hoping that there's kind of a crossfire between new and old, and us 30s can be the middle people who are the power brokers. We played the old format, but we're recent enough to, I hope, keep up with the new speed of the game. These new era folks haven't had the gift of time to grow and reflect.

Colby Donaldson from Australian Outback (2), All-Stars (8) and Heroes vs. Villains (20): It may sound weird coming from a player who's going to be playing against these people, but...I'm okay with being the old guard and passing the torch to the new guard. It's going to be fun to see some legends born out here.
