On February 25, Southern Charm star Venita Aspen made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Venita’s co-star Austen Kroll has had something of a bumpy ride in Season 11. He broke up with his girlfriend Audrey Pratt, he’s fighting with former bestie Craig Conover and he’s dodging increasingly aggressive advances from co-star Salley Carson. Oh, and let’s not forget when Austen said he “would marry” Craig’s ex girlfriend Paige DeSorbo.
In a game of Can You Defend Him, host Andy Cohen quizzed Venita on Austen’s behavior this season.
Venita Aspen returned to the Watch What Happens Live Clubhouse
First Andy asked, “Venita … can you defend Austen talking to everyone in the group about his issues with Audrey except with Audrey herself?”
“No, I can’t defend that,” Venita responded.
Next Andy asked, “Can you defend Austen for telling Craig at his birthday dinner, ‘Yes, I do effing hate you’?”
“I can defend that,” she answered.
“Can you defend Austen for kissing Salley in the bathroom?” Andy continued.
“Oh, I can defend that,” she said.
“Can you defend Austen for immediately telling Salley that Craig and Charley [Manley] kissed, knowing Craig was clear that Charley was keeping it private?”

Though Venita replied, “I can defend that,” I have to disagree with her. That wasn’t Austen’s secret to share.
Moving on, Andy asked, “Can you defend Austen for not telling Shep and Craig about his breakup with Audrey?” I didn’t blame Austen there. He wasn’t ready to hear Shep and Craig gloat.
And Venita agreed with me. “I can defend that,” she answered.
“Can you defend Austen for flirting with Salley at the bar while Audrey was by herself fuming at Rodrigo’s engagement party?” Andy continued.
“No. No, I can’t defend that,” Venita said.
Finally, Andy asked, “Can you defend Austen for saying on Watch What Happens Live he’d marry Paige in a round of Shag, Marry, Kill?”
“Yeah, I can defend that,” she concluded. It was a game, after all.
Southern Charm airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams the next day on Peacock.
