Robert Pattinson is back in Gotham City, and donning the batsuit isn’t as easy as his first go-round.
The Mickey 17 actor briefly discussed his time shooting The Batman Part II in London during an interview with GQ India, noting that he’ll be in the U.K. capital “till the end of the year” shooting the sequel.
“It’s good,” Pattinson said of the shoot before sharing one of the major challenges of playing Bruce Wayne five years later. “I’m definitely feeling my age when fighting a lot. I’m literally like, ‘Goddamn, this is significantly harder than it used to be.’”
The Odyssey star reiterated that the shoot has been a positive experience overall. “It’s really fun. And I think the movie’s going to be pretty great,” he said. “It’s got a really, really fun cast, but it’s a marathon.”

Pattinson recently became a campaign ambassador for Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre — a brand previously worn by Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The Lighthouse actor will also wear a watch from the same brand in The Batman Part II.
“When I was just starting to look them up and trying to decide which model to have for it, I realized that Christian had them as well. It is weird—as soon as you put the Reverso on, it definitely has a Bruce Wayne feel,” he said. “There’s something that felt so incredibly correct for it, even the strap we chose. It’s the last thing I put on when you put the costume on, and there’s a guy who’s looking after the watch, and it all feels extremely Bruce Wayne-coded.”

The Batman Part II is currently scheduled to release on Feb. 18, 2028, nearly six full years after its 2022 predecessor The Batman. Director Matt Reeves officially confirmed that Avengers: Infinity War stars Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson have joined the cast for the sequel, and also revealed that Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch are officially on board as well.
Most of The Batman‘s supporting cast is also returning for the sequel, including Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb/the Penguin, Jayme Lawson as Gotham City Mayor Bella Reál, and Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez.
Very little has been revealed about The Batman Part II‘s plot. Rumors have circulated that Stan may be playing Harvey Dent, the district attorney who eventually becomes the villainous Two-Face and was previously portrayed by Aaron Eckhart, Tommy Lee Jones, and Billy Dee Williams.

However, Reeves previously teased that the main villain of the sequel has “never really been done in a movie before,” which would rule out Dent and most of the heavy hitters in Batman’s rogues gallery, including Joker, Riddler, Penguin, and Catwoman (all of whom appeared in The Batman) as well as characters like Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bane, Scarecrow, and Ra’s al Ghul.
