“Pablo Torre Is A Clown”: OutKick Analyst Slams “Character Assassination” of Tim Tebow Over Life Surge ‘Scam’ Accusations

Tim Tebow has found himself at the center of criticism following a recent investigation into Life Surge, with journalist Pablo Torre raising questions about the former NFL quarterback’s connection to the organization.

The controversy has since drawn a response from OutKick analyst Jon Root, who said the reporting unfairly targeted Tebow personally. The analyst accused Torre of carrying out a “character assassination” against Tebow.

“Pablo Torre is a clown. It’s all about character assassination to him,” he wrote at the beginning of a lengthy response on X.

The comments were made after Tebow started facing increased scrutiny following an investigation into Life Surge and Tim Tebow’s role as one of the organization’s prominent speakers. Torre’s reporting has brought more attention to Tebow’s involvement. However, the OutKick analyst believes the focus on the former quarterback has gone beyond simply examining the organization.

“Is Life Surge something I support? Nope. It falls too close to prosperity gospel & seems to take liberties with Scripture as it pertains to wealth, finances, & assets, but that doesn’t mean this attack on Tebow is warranted. Making him the poster child of this accusation is unfair, but that’s why it has nothing impact,” Root wrote.

“Tebow is a saint, who fights against child trafficking, save children out of slavery, cares for special needs kids more than any celebrity we’ve ever seen, and he genuinely loves the Lord. That’s why this sells for Pablo.”

Root believes that if Life Surge is “truly scamming” people, Tim Tebow would be horrified by it.

Tim Tebow Isn’t the Only Big Name Associated with Life Surge

While Jon Root is publicly defending Tim Tebow, there are other major sports figures associated with Life Surge. Pablo Torre, without revealing any names, suggested that the number is in the double digits.

“We had already requested comment from 14 sports figures who got paid to speak at/promote Life Surge (on account of allegations like the ones below). We’ve already exchanged messages with several of these people’s reps. None of them has provided any kind of statement,” Torre wrote on X.

Torre’s investigation detailed that Tim Tebow was scheduled to make more than 20 appearances for Life Surge this year, with his fee for each appearance reportedly ranging from $50,000 to $100,000.
