One of the reasons that players like playing for Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla so much is how he helps them see aspects of the game they do not always notice. And even seasoned vets like Mike Conley have spoken about how the West Virginia alum has had such an impact on his game in the short amount of time he has been a part of the Celtics organization.

"There was a time, I think one of my first few days here where I got out there and I was out there just going through a workout, me and Payton (Pritchard), and I did something that made a pass," said Conley in a recent interview with 98.5 The Sports Hub. "I felt like it was the right pass, right play."

"And (Mazzulla) stopped, he pulls me aside and says, Hey, what, what did you miss?" said the veteran guard. "And I'm like, 'Nothing I know, I've been in the league for a while – I hit the guy that was up'."

"He was like, 'No, you had a chance to shoot the ball right here and didn't even look at the rip,'" said Conley. "And I was like, 'Oh, I didn't even think about that,' because I'm thinking that the point guard in this position was to make the play to the open guy."

"And he just views the game in a sense that he doesn't let anything go unturned. He's going to let you know where you can learn from something. And I was like, 'Man!', and that was just the first case. But that has been ongoing."
