**This article contains spoilers about *Love Is Blind* season 10, episodes 1-6.**
Love was almost literally blind for one *Love Is Blind* cast member this season.
The season 10 premiere ended on an intense cliffhanger when Elissa Finley had a mysterious medical emergency and left the women's living quarters in a hurry to alert producers. Her issue was explained at the beginning of episode 2 when she returned to the women's quarters and revealed that she accidentally put nail glue in one of her eyes, because she thought the small bottle she had picked up contained eye drops.

*Love Is Blind* creator Chris Coelen exclusively tells * *that Elissa was only gone from filming "overnight" to go to the hospital. "She did go to get checked out," Coelen says.
Elissa spent a few hours at the hospital, where her infected eye was washed out with saline. She did not have to spend the night in the hospital, and cameras did not film her until she returned to the pods the next morning.
"I held my eye open because if you shut it, and you got glue, you’re going to pull off your skin," Elissa told Tudum. "Luckily, I had a contacts in, which ended up saving my eyeball.... I had to sit there with a bag of saline, just flushing my eye. I got the glue out, and then I saved my lashes, thankfully."

According to Coelen, leaving the set to get medical treatment did not impact Elissa's dating experience in the pods because she did not miss any full days of filming.
"We always encouraged them, the participants, to communicate with one another exactly what's going on with them [during their dates]," Coelen says. "She would've been back in time the next day to have the date with whoever she was wanting to go on the date with the most, sometime probably mid-morning. I don't think it disrupted her in any significant way."

Here's everyone who got engaged in the pods on 'Love Is Blind' season 10

EW has confirmed that Elissa went on to get engaged to Miguel Lopez. They filmed an in-person reveal, but it was not shown in the episodes because they were not chosen as one of the couples to be filmed for the rest of the season. And according to Coelen, they "broke off their engagement the next day."
The creator still can't believe what happened with Elissa's medical emergency during filming, because "nothing like that" has ever happened on the show, he says.

"Never," he adds. "Oh my gosh, that was crazy. There's so many things going on that you're not aware of everything that's happening at any one time, but when I did hear about it after the fact, obviously your first impulse is to make sure that she's okay, and she was okay, thank goodness, and didn't have any kind of damage of any real [lasting consequences]. But still, the thought of putting glue into your eye was crazy. We all can laugh about it now, but yeah, it was crazy at the time."
*Love Is Blind* season 10 releases episodes 7-9 on Wednesday, Feb. 18, with episodes 10-11 the following week on Feb. 25, and the finale on March 4 on Netflix.
