Michelle Randolph couldn't help but ask her *Landman* costar Billy Bob Thornton about one of Hollywood's most infamous rumors that has him at its center.**

The actress, who plays Thornton's daughter on Taylor Sheridan's booming oil drama, revealed that she has indeed inquired whether her frequent scene partner ever drank his ex-wife Angelina Jolie's blood.**

"Most of my scenes are with him, and I'm thinking, 'God, like what, all I know is that he drank Angelina Jolie’s blood or something,'" Randolph confessed to Drew Barrymore on her eponymous talk show Wednesday. "Which I since have asked him about, I can't lie."

The *1923* alum is, of course, referring to the long-standing claim that Thornton and Jolie, who were married from 2000 to 2003, used to drink and wear vials of each other's blood. Thornton debunked the rumor in a *Rolling Stone* interview in November.**

"We each had a little locket, literally with a drop of blood in them," he said at the time. "That's a romantic little idea, and that's all that was. But by the time it's over, we're vampires. We live in a dungeon, we drink each other's blood, and this kind of stuff."

When Barrymore asked if Thornton was nonchalant about the question, Randolph replied, "Fully! I mean, he's just ease. If ease was a person, that's who he is."

"You're like, you won an Academy Award!" Barrymore said, referencing Thornton's Best Adapted Screenplay win for the 1996 film *Sling Blade*. "I feel like that would also fall in the 'yeah, [I did that category].'"

Randolph noted that she believes Thornton's chill factor is what makes him "so good at what he does."**

"You think someone with his résumé is going to be so intimidating, but instead, he's such a great actor because he pulls honesty out of you and he settles you in a scene and in life," she said. "I tend to talk a lot and move fast, and he just makes me want to just chill."

While visiting *The Drew Barrymore Show*, Randolph also dug deep into why it was "really intimidating" to play her *Landman* character, Ainsley, at first.

"When I read the scripts initially, I thought, 'God, is this gonna be so unlikeable?'" she recalled. "But I think she's so young. That's what I always have to remember. She's just a product of her environment. She is learning from her mom and her dad, and they're a little nuts too."

It's why Randolph is giving Ainsley a bit of grace as she continues to grow up on the series, which was recently greenlit for a third season.**

"I'm not gonna judge her until she's an adult," the actress said. "Until she is off on her own and out of her parents' house, and she's in college. Like then, those decisions, I think, I'm gonna have to figure out how to still navigate this character who is… she's earnest and sincere."**

Throwing her hands up, Randolph continued, "But come season 3 or 4 or 5 and I'm gonna be like, 'I don't have any excuses for her!'"

*The Drew Barrymore Show* airs weekdays on CBS.
