Jenny McCarthy is no stranger to talk shows — so why not give it another go with a new project that has a fresh, modern-day angle?
The longtime TV personality, 53, is now developing a daytime show/video podcast hybrid, Variety reports. McCarthy has plenty of experience in small-screen hosting as well as podcasting, so why not do both simultaneously?
Warner Bros. TV Group's syndicated label Telepictures, which is responsible for The Jennifer Hudson Show and Extra, will produce McCarthy's new endeavor — which is being developed as 170 half-hour episodes in the style of a video podcast but pitched to market as a daytime talk show, Variety also noted on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Plus, McCarthy's husband, Boston Blue star Donnie Wahlberg, is set to appear in recurring segments.

co-hosting ABC’s The View from 2013 to 2014
hosting The Jenny McCarthy Show on VH1
hosting the daily SiriusXM series The Jenny McCarthy Show for six years
co-hosting the annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special with Ryan Seacrest
hosting the American Music Awards
These days, you can catch her on Fox’s celebrity singing competition The Masked Singer, on which she’s served as judge since its 2019 premiere.
Earlier this month, Wahlberg, 56, paid a sweet tribute to his wife on social media in honor of McCarthy's 53rd birthday.
“Please join me in wishing my wife — my partner in life, my soul mate, my best friend, my sister in faith, my home screen queen, my ride or die, My Favorite Girl, My Cover Girl, My Valentine Girl, the greatest mom, the coolest step mom, the lovingest dog mom, the most supportive supporter, the most amazing daughter, the nicest sister, the kindest caretaker, the hardest working, the most (hopelessly) devoted, the courageously courageous, the comedically outrageous, the absolute love of my life — JENNY MCCARTHY, a Happy Birthday!” Wahlberg wrote via Instagram on Nov. 1, alongside a photo of him and McCarthy.
