In an emotional moment during a Nov. 10 Twitch livestream, Solomita opened up about the status of the couple's beloved dog
"It's sort of been all-consuming on top of all the things we have going on," Solomita said of the dog's declining health

While gaming on a recent Twitch livestream, Julien Solomita, who is married to popular former YouTuber Jenna Marbles, opened up about the couple's beloved chihuahua named Mr. Marbles.Solomita, who was gaming alongside two other people on the Nov. 10 stream, took a moment during the nearly six-hour-long live to "chat" about his emotions, revealing that the dog, who turned 17 on June 6, 2025, was nearing the end of his life."I didn't want to make a whole thing about it at the start of the stream, but I'm mentally not fully here lately," he began hesitantly. "Marbles is getting really old. We're dealing with end-of-life things happened. It's sort of been all-consuming on top of all the things we have going on."Solomita continued, touching on the impact that Mr. Marbles' (whom the couple often calls Marbles for short) declining health was having on him, saying that he didn't really have a lot of "juice" these days.

"I know a lot of you have dealt with losing pets and end-of-life care for your pets," he said, addressing viewers."I sort of feel like I'm not even here," Solomita said. "I don't want to sit here, because if I talk about it, I'm just going to cry, and I don't want to sit here and cry about it right now.""The whole thing is hard, and you [are] never really prepared for something like this," he concluded, before resuming the game with his two co-streamers.Fans in the chat offered their support for Solomita, sending hearts and messages of encouragement.One wrote, "No worries at all Julien...believe me we so understand." Another added, "We are so happy you are here."The influencer's dogs were a large part of her content as a YouTuber, and Marbles was even the namesake behind her online name: Jenna Marbles.In a 2013 interview with Variety, the YouTuber revealed that she changed her original YouTube screen name from "Jenna Mourey" to "Jenna Marbles" after her mom, who was searching for a job at the time, complained to the creator that her YouTube clips were showing up in Google name searches. She was worried the clips might put off potential employers.

Mr. Marbles was named for a ventriloquist dummy featured on an episode of Seinfeld called "The Chicken Roaster," in which Jerry fears that a dummy named Mr. Marbles will come to life and kill him in the night.
On the platform, where she first rose to fame in 2010, the New York native posted comedy-based videos as well as makeup tutorials.
In the decade that followed, her videos racked up upwards of 2 billion views and 20 million subscribers.
The content creator announced her departure from YouTube on June 25, 2020. Her decision to "move on" from the streaming platform was explained in a tearful video that addressed some of her past controversial videos."I think I'm just going to move on from this channel for now," she said in the video. "I don't know if that's forever. I don't know how long it's going to be. I want to make sure that the things that I put into the world are not hurting anyone."After nine years together, Solomita confirmed his marriage to the influencer in December 2022 on Instagram. The carousel featured images from their special day, including several shots of the YouTuber in a white wedding gown alongside her husband and, of course, Mr. Marbles in a stroller next to them.
