Not even a former first lady of the United States can resist the temptation of using the internet to check in on an old flame.
On Wednesday’s episode of *Today, *Jenna Bush Hager revealed that she once caught her mom Laura Bush — who is married to former president George W. Bush — searching for her exes online.
“Many, many years ago, when it first became a thing, I came home and I was staying with my parents and my mom was googling her ex-boyfriends,” she told her cohost Sheinelle Jones before bursting into laughter.

“I was like, ‘What are you doing, Mom?’” Hager recalled. “She was like, ‘Did you know that you can Google!?’”
Unfortunately, the results that turned up weren’t all positive. “Sadly, one had passed,” Hager said, to which Jones responded, “Oh no.”

As it turns out, Laura isn’t the only member of the Bush family who has spent some time googling their previous partners. Hager, who married husband Henry Chase Hager in 2008, admitted she’s done the exact same thing before, too.
“Oh yeah,” she said. “We've definitely googled.”

In fact, Hager revealed that she’s a bit of an internet super sleuth when it comes to finding people from her past. “You know *Murder, She Wrote*? I can solve all,” she remarked. “Somebody will be like, ‘Hey, who did that person from high school marry?’ And I'm like, ‘Give me about 10 minutes.’”
This isn’t the first time that Hager has spoken about her parents — who tied the knot in 1977 and would later go on to become the president and first lady of the United States — on *Today*. Last week, she reacted to a passage in Jill Biden’s new memoir that detailed a flirtatious moment that occurred between her parents.
“She says, 'One time I was meeting with President Bush at the George W. Bush Library after speaking to military families there,'" Jones read. "She says Laura came in and said, 'Hey Bushy,' then sauntered into the hallway for a cup of coffee as he smiled at her."
"That sounds like you were reading a romance!" Hager remarked, to which Jones exclaimed, "That is how it felt!"
Hager also revealed that she enjoyed how Biden chose to end the anecdote. "She said, 'You could tell they have a nice romantic relationship,'" she said. "That was a little spice in this book!"
*Today* airs weekdays on NBC. Watch Hager bring up her mom's internet search history in the clip above.
