Jamie Lynn Spears and her husband, Jamie Watson, are marking 12 years of marriage — but the special occasion didn't go quite as planned.
On Saturday, March 14, the Zoey 101 alum, 34, shared an Instagram post featuring a look at the couple's chaotic wedding anniversary. Alongside a series of photos of the pair and their family, she detailed the series of mishaps that occurred that led to her and Watson having a slightly less romantic takeout dinner at their kitchen table.
"12 years of marriage is having chipotle with dollar store candles, bc your husband got in poison ivy and had to go to the doctor to get a shot and medicine after his allergic reaction," she wrote, shedding light on the first photo in the carousel, which showed Spears wearing a hoodie and shorts as she sat on the table with a wry smile and Watson, 43, seated at the table while eating a burrito.

The table was decorated with three small votive candles and number "1" and "3" cake candles. The couple's daughter Ivey, 7, appeared in the lower portion of the photo.
Spears went on to explain the relatable mistake that Watson made when it came to the cake candles.
"He also thought it was our 13th anniversary, hence the 1 & 3 cake candles & this is one of his favorite songs, so here’s to another year🥂💒," she added in the caption of the post, which was soundtracked by Rihanna's "Rehab."

Adding to the humor of her post, Spears' carousel included some snapshots of herself and Watson caught by the camera at awkward moments — including one photo of the Sweet Magnolias actress with her mouth open as she wore a wedding dress.

Spears and Watson first met through mutual friends and dated on and off for a few years before getting engaged in 2013. They married in New Orleans on March 14, 2014, and welcomed Ivey four years later in April 2018.

On their eighth wedding anniversary in 2022, Spears marked the occasion by sharing a heartfelt Instagram post in which she reflected on how Watson brought "peace" and "stability" to her life.
"I was an 18 year old single mom, when this guy came into my life, he made me laugh more then I ever had before, and his never changing consistency gave me stability for the first time in my life," Spears wrote, referring to welcoming her older daughter, Maddie, now 17, in 2008.

She continued: "I felt a sense of peace with him, and I think that's what being in love is supposed to feel like, just feeling at peace."
In 2024, Spears marked a decade of marriage with Watson by sharing a series of photos on Instagram of the couple and their family. She once again took a humorous approach, writing, "10 years of marriage is something to [be] proud of," before joking, "Like, that's a long time to tolerate someone's bs."
"Yay, us🤍👰🏼♀️ 3•14•14," she added, including the pair's wedding date.
