James McAvoy revealed he welcomed his second son, his first with wife Lisa Liberati
The actor went on to share that parenting in his 40s feels easier in some ways
The actor met Liberati on the set of Split in 2016 and has kept their relationship largely private
James McAvoy is a dad again — and the actor is sharing that things are feeling a bit different after welcoming his second baby later in life.
While speaking to The Guardian for a new interview, the Scottish actor, 46, shared that he currently lives in London with his wife Lisa Liberati and their 4-year-old son. McAvoy is also dad to son Brendon, 15, whom he shares with ex-wife Anne-Marie Duff.
"Having a kid at 42 is definitely easier in some ways," McAvoy shared. "I worry less. I'm a bit more philosophical. But it's also harder, because you're just older and tireder."

In February 2022, McAvoy revealed in another interview with The Guardian that he had privately tied the knot with Liberati.

The couple connected in 2016 on the set of the horror film Split, which Liberati was working on as director M. Night Shyamalan's personal assistant. They started dating a few years later, and McAvoy confirmed that they got married.

The newspaper reported that the actor declined to offer further comment "for fear of creating tabloid fodder."
In conversation with Mr Porter in 2017, McAvoy acknowledged that while his life changed "massively" after his divorce from ex-wife Duff, he intended to keep his personal life private.
"One of the things that's stayed the same is that I still don't talk about my personal life, really," McAvoy said at the time.
