Isla Fisher is opening up about "trying to create a new life" in the wake of her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen.
In a new interview with U.K. publication Elle Decoration published Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Now You See Me: Now You Don't actress, 49, said settling into her newly finished London home took a bit of getting used to.

Fisher and the Borat star, 54, finalized their divorce in June, after they previously announced that they had filed for divorce in 2023, ending 13 years of marriage. The former couple share three children, two daughters and one son, who they keep out of the spotlight.
âTrying to create a new life from a grassroots level, at least emotionally, has been challenging, but deeply rewarding,â the Confessions of a Shopaholic actress added in her interview with Elle Decoration.
And although she has parted ways with her spouse of more than a decade, the Australian actress said sheâs more than content in her life, and loving the space she calls home.
âIâm enjoying this new version of my life,â Fisher said. âI donât need to party in my house anymore. I love to get in the bath. Iâll light some candles, bring in my laptop and put on something on Netflix. Thatâs as exciting as it gets.â
When announcing their divorce had been finalized, the couple shared their mutual respect in a statement.
"We are proud of all we've achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children," the statement read. "We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy."
Over the summer, the Wedding Crashers actress spoke with Harper's Bazaar Australia for the magazine's August cover story and got candid about her âtough couple of years" and how she was handling life lately.

âIâm really excited for the next chapter," she said in the interview. "Iâm refocusing on my career because previously I was very much focused on my kids, which I still am, obviously, because [theyâre] my true love. But Iâm enjoying tackling work again.â
She added that her âchallenging situation" gave her the opportunity to put things into perspective and try to figure out what it is she wanted to do âprofessionally and privately.â

"Iâm trying to remind myself of my new identity as somebody outside of a partnership and to stay as buoyant as possible," Fisher said. "Any time thereâs change, itâs hard to adapt. But hopefully Iâm doing an okay job."
