Bravo alum Fredrik Eklund of Million Dollar Listing New York and Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles fame revealed his mother, Jannike Wenke, has died.
Entertainment Now reported that Eklund announced his mother's death in a December 19 Instagram upload. In the post, Eklund included several pictures showing Wenke throughout her life.
In the caption of the upload, Eklund shared that his "mom passed away last night after a brave battle with cancer."
"There are no words big enough to describe how deeply we loved her — so perhaps the photos can speak where language fails. When a mother dies, something inside of us dies too. And yet perhaps something else is born: the memories, the gratitude, and pain that will never leave," wrote the Bravo personality.
Eklund also described Wenke as "a private but immensely strong woman, so intelligent, colorful, powerful." He also shared that she "loved watercolor painting, reading, birds," and her children.
"The very best mother my brother and I could ever have wished for. I think when you look into our eyes, you will always see her," continued Eklund.
The Swedish native also said that he had "traveled back and forth to Sweden constantly just to be near her" over the last three months.
"We were lucky, so fortunate, to be there at the end days holding her," wrote Eklund in the caption.

Fredrik Eklund Explained Why He Was on 'Million Dollar Listing New York' & 'Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles'
Eklund appeared in all nine seasons of Million Dollar Listing New York until 2021. In addition, he had a two-season run on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles from 2020 to 2021. In a May 2021 interview with GLAAD, Eklund shared why he filmed for both of the shows. He explained that he lived in both Los Angeles and New York, so he decided to expand his business on the West and East coasts.
"I moved to LA about two years ago. But I'm always saying I'm bi-coastal so I go back and forth a lot. And I think I am the OG of New York, I feel like I am Mr. New York. It is my brand, I have a big business. There are 50 people working for me there. But now when I'm in LA as well, why not do both?" said the real estate broker in the 2021 interview.
