- Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane’s daughter, Georgia Dane, has landed her first acting role.

- Georgia will star opposite her mom in *The Ocean Between Them*, coming to Lifetime on Sept. 26.

- Eric Dane died at 53 following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) on Feb. 19.

Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane’s daughter is about to make her big acting debut.

Lifetime released a pulse-pounding teaser for its upcoming slate of ripped-from-the-headlines thrillers on Tuesday titled “Strength of a Lifetime.” Three new films are coming to the made-for-TV movie hub in September; but only one features a family reunion.

Gayheart and Dane’s youngest, 14-year-old Georgia Dane, will make her screen acting debut in *The Ocean Between Them *alongside her mom.

Inspired by true events, *The Ocean Between Them *stars Gayheart as Joan, a fierce mama bear scouring the Central American Pacific after her daughter Miranda (Jessica Lord) disappears at sea during a vacation in Belize.

“As Miranda battles the elements to stay alive, Joan refuses to give up, launching a relentless search that tests her resolve and pushes her beyond her limits. Facing unimaginable odds, both women discover extraordinary strength and the unbreakable bond that connects them — even across the vast ocean,” the official description reads.

*The Ocean Between Them *costars *Riverdale*’s Karl Walcott, and Dane appears as Ashley, Joan’s youngest daughter, who aids her in the search.

Elaine Frontain Bryant, Lifetime’s Head of Programming, shared in a statement accompanying the film’s announcement, “Our ‘Strength of a Lifetime’ movies celebrate the resilience of people whose lives were forever changed by unimaginable events. These remarkable stories honor the courage to survive and the power of hope to overcome life’s greatest challenges.”

Each film in the “Strength of a Lifetime” slate premieres on a Saturday in September. *The Ocean Between Them *washes ashore on Sept. 26, following Joy Bryant (*Parenthood*) and Sarah Wayne Callies (*The Walking Dead*) in *Sole Survivor of Flight 119* on Sept. 19, and Sherri Shepherd in *Robin Roberts Presents Angel in the Rubble: The Genelle Guzman Story*, coming Sept. 12.

Gayheart and the *Grey’s Anatomy *star got married in 2004. During that time, they had Georgia, now 14, and Billie, now 16. Though Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018, they remained separated for seven years without making it official, and in 2025, the actress filed to dismiss the divorce petition.

Eric Dane died on Feb. 19 at the age of 53, following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). “With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world,” a family statement read at the time.
