“Elle” Star Lexi Minetee Recreates Another of Reese Witherspoon's Looks in Pitch Perfect Pink Gown

Lexi Minetree recreated another of Reese Witherspoon's iconic looks while appearing at a U.K. screening of Elle

Witherspoon wore the archival Stella McCartney gown to the 2014 Met Gala

Witherspoon previously said that she's shared some of her original Elle Woods wardrobe with Minetree, who is playing the iconic character in the new prequel series

Lexi Minetree is taking another fashion cue from Reese Witherspoon.

The 25-year-old actress, who is set to star as Elle Woods in the film's Prime Video prequel series Elle, stepped out in a look previously worn by her Legally Blonde predecessor.

For the U.K. special screening of Elle in London on Tuesday, June 30, Minetree stepped out in an archival Stella McCartney gown in Elle Woods' signature shade of pink. The strapless look was previously worn by Witherspoon at the 2014 Met Gala.

Minetree wore her blonde hair in a curly updo and kept her accessories minimal. She also sported smoky eye makeup and pink blush.

This isn't the first time the actress has channeled Witherspoon's style. For her first talk show interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Minetree revealed that she was wearing the same pink Marc Jacobs dress Witherspoon wore to attend the Legally Blonde premiere in 2001.

Fallon held up a 25-year-old photo of the actress and producer — who originally portrayed Elle Woods — rocking a spaghetti-strap pink fishnet mermaid dress. Minetree then also posed in Witherspoon fashion as the camera panned to her in the vintage outfit, which she paired with hot pink peep-toe Steve Madden heels and an updo.

Days later, Witherspoon made her own appearance on the late-night talk show, where she revealed how the full-circle moment came to be.

"Her stylist is a friend of mine for so many years," the Oscar winner explained. "And she said to me, 'Do you have any dresses from the time period?' And I have all the wardrobe in storage."

Witherspoon said that she wanted Minetree to choose "as many dresses" as she wanted, including the Marc Jacobs dress that "fit perfectly."

"It's like Cinderella's slipper," said the actress. "She was meant to be Elle Woods!"

Minetree paid homage to Elle Woods yet again when she attended Prime Video's 25th anniversary 'Elle Woods' celebration in New York City on June 20.

For the event, she wore a pink sequined archival Dolce & Gabbana dress which was inspired by a blue sequined bodycon dress Witherspoon wore in Legally Blonde.

While appearing on a panel during Prime Video's Obsessed Fest on Saturday, June 27, Minetree admitted that she "did borrow" some items from the Elleset.

"I'm afraid to say what because I'm in my place of work, in a way," she joked, before adding, "There were just too many beautiful things. I mean, how could you not?"

Elle premieres July 1 on Prime Video.
