The update comes months after the convicted con artist unfollowed the DWTS pro, and after Sosa said on a podcast that the pair were not on speaking terms

Ezra Sosa is speaking out about his friendship with Anna Delvey after revealing that she had unfollowed him.

On Saturday, April 18, the Dancing with the Stars pro, 25, shared an update about where he and the 35-year-old convicted con artist — who was his dance partner during his debut pro season of DWTS in 2024 — currently stand. The update comes months after Sosa confirmed that Delvey, legally named Anna Sorokin, had unfollowed him on social media and revealed that they were not on speaking terms.

“POV: Anna Delvey finally texted you back after getting unfollowed😭,” Sosa wrote on TikTok. He added the text over a clip of himself looking down at his phone, mouth agape.

At various points in the TikTok, he also fell to his knees and danced around, seemingly in celebration, as “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” played in the background. Toward the end of the video, he moved closer to the camera, shaking his head as he showed his phone, which displayed his semi-covered text conversation with Delvey.

One of the texts that Delvey — Sosa only covered part of his phone screen while showing the correspondence between the pair — allegedly sent to the DWTS pro read, “I’ll be in la soon.”

Another text, dated April 3, read, “I’ll think about it.” Sosa left a “heart” reaction on this message.

“WAR IS OVER😭,” Sosa wrote in the caption of the TikTok, nodding to his song choice and alluding to the DWTS pro and his former partner rekindling their friendship.

Fans appeared more confused than ever about the status of the stars’ relationship, however, with top comments on Sosa’s TikTok reading “Wait is this good? Is this bad? Are we scared?” and inquiring about what exactly Delvey said in her latest text message.

As of Sunday, April 19, Delvey does not follow Sosa on her TikTok or Instagram accounts. A representative for Sosa did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Sosa previously revealed that the former DWTS partners — who remained close-knit on social media in the months following Delvey's exit from the show — were on the rocks last fall.

After Sosa said in an Instagram video that he “actually has a shot” of winning DWTS while revealing his season 34 partner Jordan Chiles in October 2025, Delvey unfollowed the professional dancer, per Parade. (Robert Irwin and pro Witney Carson later won the season, with Chiles and Sosa coming in third.)

Shortly after, Sosa discussed the status of his relationship with Delvey on Danielle Fishel’s Danielle with the Stars podcast. “We’re not talking right now,” he said of his former dance partner.

“There was definitely an unfollow,” he said of Delvey, adding, “It’s okay. You be you boo boo, and I’ll be me, respectfully.”

Sosa and Delvey struck up a very public friendship after she was eliminated during the second week of DWTS season 33 in September 2024. She gave a blunt and now-viral remark when host Julianne Hough asked what she was taking from her experience on the show. "Nothing,” Delvey replied, leaving Sosa visibly shocked.

Shortly after her exit, however, Sosa told PEOPLE that his and Delvey’s friendship was still going strong.

"We’re texting every day," he said at a DirecTV event in October 2024. "Yes, we are. She’s like, ‘You have to come to New York!’ And I was like, ‘Do you miss me?’ She goes, ‘Sure.’ But every single time she says 'sure' it means ‘yes.’ Like, I kind of have her down a little bit."

And while Sosa initially appeared shocked by Delvey’s viral comment after her DWTS elimination, he later told PEOPLE he actually thinks it was "iconic."

That October, Sosa even dressed as Delvey — complete with the bedazzled ankle monitor she wore while competing on the show — for Halloween, and in November, he got a “nothing" tattoo in Delvey’s honor, which she lovingly roasted.
