Drew Barrymore is sharing one of her daughters' favorite activities — and it might not be what you'd expect.
In a clip shared to the Drew Barrymore Show's Instagram, the actress, 50, answered a question from the audience about how she spends time with her two kids. Barrymore, who shares daughters Olive, 13, and Frankie, 11, with ex Will Kopelman, said there's one activity in particular her family loves to do together.
“I know this is going to sound so weird, but I’m from California, so we’re big drivers," Barrymore began. "I have a minivan. We pile in the minivan all the time, and they love to go to the gas station and buy snacks. Like America’s best restaurant is at your local gas station."

"And we just kind of drive places. In that magical box, I feel like we just…we listen to music all the time. We’re constantly turning each other on to new songs," she continued. "I try to take them sometimes to concerts. I love taking them to the movies. Individual time with them is really important."
"Another thing I like to do, I’m like, ‘Bring all your friends over.’ My house is headquarters," added Barrymore.
Back in September, Barrymore spoke with Real Simple and got candid about how she deals with burnout from parenting her two kids.
“When I get burnout from trying to mom really hard and work really hard, I go, 'You know what? This isn’t good,' " she told the outlet. "And I know that at the end of the day, the most important thing in life is your relationships. If I’m not putting that first, then I’m on the wrong track."
"So I talk to my kids. And I do try to show them that the more you work on yourself, the happier you’re going to be, the more your friendships will thrive," Barrymore continued. "We all need tools to navigate the world, and asking for help is everything.”

The proud mom said that when it comes to parenting, she tries to model good behavior in an effort to influence her daughters.
“I model how important it is to be kind to others. If you’re not good to someone, you will not only ruin their day, but guess what: You’re going to feel really bad about yourself. So nix that behavior," Barrymore said. "And I’ve taught them that if you clean up after yourself, you’re going to have more calmness in your space. Your head is as messy as your room is. Someone said that to me, and it changed my life forever.”
“I have one daughter who’s neater than I will ever be, and one daughter who is beyond messy. But someone reminded me that I was messy when I was young," she continued. "And I was like, 'Oh my God, I’m expecting her to have my 50-year-old woman’s standards of cleanliness!'”
