According to filed exhibits, Colleen Hoover allegedly texted Justin Baldoni in August 2024 that she felt "forced" to choose sides in his dispute with Blake Lively

The author previously spoke out in support of Lively, saying the actress had been "nothing but honest"

Hoover allegedly told Baldoni the It Ends With Us dispute was "making everyone working on this movie look immature"

Colleen Hoover allegedly told Justin Baldoni she felt "forced" to choose sides in his It Ends With Us dispute with Blake Lively, according to newly revealed texts.

Exhibited within a declaration filed by the Wayfarer co-defendants on Monday, Nov. 10, are alleged communications between Hoover, author of the book and executive producer of the film, and Baldoni, producer, star and director.

Baldoni copy-pasted from a text allegedly sent to him by Hoover to share with his PR team on Aug. 15, 2024. In it, Hoover allegedly wrote: "It just feels like I'm on an island here."

"I know things took an awful turn, and I felt forced to choose when I did not want to," she continued, "but the back and forth articles from both camps is just so upsetting and ridiculous. It's making everyone working on this movie look immature. Everyone is out there trying to save themselves and now this has turned into a huge mess."

Hoover allegedly added, "And I know you guys think I've made decisions for certain reasons but I have felt the rift from long before I ever was in contact with Blake."

"I have been disappointed personally by your actions many times," read the alleged message. "I appreciate that you haven't directly said anything negative, that's how it should be. But you are grown men with a platform. You know how to use it to protect your image. Please don't continue to use it to harm me or mine. That's all I'm asking."

PEOPLE reached out to reps for Hoover for comment.

Seeking over $160 million in damages, Lively, 38, is suing Baldoni, 41, for sexual harassment and retaliation, claiming he and other co-defendants orchestrated a smear campaign to ruin her image. Baldoni has denied the claims, and he filed his own $400 million countersuit against Lively and others, though that has since been dismissed by the judge.

Hoover was deposed this year in the ongoing court case, which is scheduled to go to trial in New York in March.

In a motion for summary judgment filed Thursday, Nov. 13, Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties asked U.S. District Court Judge Lewis J. Liman to rule in their favor without proceeding to trial. Judge Liman has not yet made a ruling.

In December 2024, the bestselling author showed support for Lively after the actress' allegations made headlines, writing on Instagram at the time that Lively had "been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt."

Woman Down, Hoover's first novel since her 2022 It Ends With Us sequel It Starts With Us, hits shelves in January, with a plot centered around a once-celebrated author dealing with a "viral backlash over her latest film adaptation" that makes her take a hiatus. "

The synopsis adds of the main character: "Branded a fraud and fame-hungry opportunist, she learned the hard way what happens when the internet turns on you. And she’s been uninspired to write ever since."
