Colleen Zenk was arrested in Naples, Fla., on May 15 and charged with two misdemeanor DUI-related offenses, according to court records
Authorities claim the soap actress was involved in a two-vehicle crash before later providing breath samples of 0.206 and 0.192, per the arrest report
Zenk has pleaded not guilty through counsel, with a pre-trial hearing scheduled for July 29
Soap opera veteran Colleen Zenk is facing two misdemeanor DUI charges in Florida after a May arrest in Naples, according to court records.
Documents from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office show the As the World Turns and The Young and the Restless alum, 73, was arrested on Friday, May 15, after authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash near Strada Place.
Zenk was charged with DUI causing damage to property or another person, and DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher, records show.
A rep for Zenk tells PEOPLE in a statement on June 30, “The charges are being defended. Ms. Zenk has not been convicted of anything. The truth will be played out in court."
According to the arrest report, a witness told deputies they saw Zenk backing out of a handicap parking space near a Tommy Bahama store when her vehicle struck another parked car.

The witness alleged Zenk continued moving after the collision before being stopped a short distance away and claimed she appeared unsteady after exiting her vehicle.
A responding sergeant noted in the report that he detected the odor of alcohol.
After the crash inquiry concluded, deputies initiated a DUI investigation. According to the report, Zenk told officers she had been at Bar Tulia, where she said she consumed “two wine cups.”

Court documents state Zenk agreed to perform field sobriety exercises. During those exercises, the arresting officer wrote that Zenk showed multiple signs of impairment, including balance issues, swaying and difficulty following instructions.
After the exercises, deputies placed Zenk under arrest. According to the report, Zenk later provided two breath samples measuring 0.206 and 0.192 BAC.

Court records show Zenk posted bond after her arrest and has since entered a not guilty plea through counsel. Her next scheduled court appearance is a pre-trial hearing set for July 29 in Collier County.
Zenk has faced prior DUI-related charges. Court records show she was charged in Collier County in May 2017 in what was listed as a first offense. She was also previously arrested in Connecticut in 2010 after police alleged she was driving erratically and crossed into an oncoming lane, resulting in DUI-related charges and an improper lane usage charge.
Zenk is best known for portraying Barbara Ryan on As the World Turns, a role she played for more than three decades after joining the daytime soap in 1978.
Her performance earned her three Daytime Emmy nominations during her long-running tenure on the series.
More recently, Zenk returned to daytime television in late 2023 with a role on The Young and the Restless, marking her first soap role in more than 13 years after the end of As the World Turns.

In November 2023, she raved to PEOPLE about her experience on The Young and the Restless.
"I just can't get over how loving everyone has been to me. In fact, I kept crying the first couple of days," she said at the time. "It was just so overwhelming. I really didn't expect it."
"I'm a New York actor coming into their show. It's not my show, it's their show, and I just didn't know how they would respond," continued Zenk. She made her final appearance on the CBS drama in January 2025.
