The co-founders of 90s Con told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement that Selma Blair was “wonderful” during her appearance at the convention on Friday, Oct. 16
Blair’s appearance came five days after she was arrested for an alleged altercation on a flight
The actress pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault in relation to the alleged incident on Oct. 12
Selma Blair’s legal crisis did not stop her from attending this year’s 90s Con — and the event organizers say they are eager to have her back again.
The co-founders of the convention told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement that they “would love” to have the actress, 54, back after her successful appearance at the event in Hartford, Conn., on Friday, Oct. 16.
“We’re thrilled with the success of this year’s 90s Con … It was a truly special show, and watching fans meet the stars with whom they grew up is exactly why we host 90s Con,” co-founders Liliana Kligman and Christina Figliolia said. “The ‘90s icons who attended, including actress Selma Blair, spent countless hours with fans.”
“We especially want to thank Selma for honoring her commitment and know the fans were excited to meet her,” they continued. “She was so welcoming and genuine with all of us — our staff and volunteer team as well as the fans. We would love to have her back.”

Blair was photographed meeting fans at a signing booth during the Oct. 16-18 convention at the Hartford Convention Center, PEOPLE previously reported.
Her appearance at the convention was confirmed two days after her Oct. 11 arrest on allegations of assaulting flight crew members while aboard a Delta Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York City, and a Port Authority police officer and a nurse on the ground.

Dispatch audio obtained by PEOPLE on Oct. 12 also indicated that an emergency responder identified someone who was injured with “bite marks” during the incident. According to a criminal court affidavit, Blair was accused of kicking the officer repeatedly and the nurse in the chest.
Blair was arrested at N.Y.C’s John F. Kennedy International Airport just after 11 p.m. local time. She pleaded not guilty in court on Oct. 12 to two counts of assault on the officer and the nurse, according to a criminal court affidavit. Blair was released on bail that evening.
An FBI spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE on Oct. 12 that the agency is investigating the incident.

Blair’s spokesperson said in a statement to PEOPLE following her arrest on Friday, “Selma Blair experienced a medical emergency on the flight. There was no attempt to open the door of the aircraft. Selma did not intend to harm anyone.”
Blair first announced her diagnosis of the chronic autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis in 2018. Since then, she has traveled with a service dog, who was present on the flight.
“What Selma has been able to do physically in the years since is nothing short of a miracle,” the spokesperon told PEOPLE. “She still has bad days, and she lives with pain daily. Selma also has pseudobulbar affect, a neurological condition secondary to her MS, which bears directly on how a medical episode presents to people who do not know her. For the same reason, she travels with a service dog who doesn’t leave her side, and the authorities took her dog from her.”
