Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo's divorce story took several unexpected turns this week after the podcast host finally broke her silence — and revealed details few fans saw coming.
During a candid episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, Bunnie Xo opened up about what led to the split, whether the divorce was mutual, and why she and Jelly Roll still plan to have a child together.
Jelly Roll filed for divorce on May 18, citing irreconcilable differences. Court documents list May 9 as the couple's date of separation.

1. They're Still Having a Baby Together
Perhaps the most surprising revelation was that the couple's plans to become parents together haven't changed.

"We're still having a baby together," Bunnie Xo said.
The couple has been open about their fertility struggles in recent years, including multiple rounds of IVF and the loss of four embryos.
"It wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically," Bunnie Xo said of the experience. Despite the divorce, she says both remain committed to growing their family and plan to co-parent.

"J has been so f—ing great about us still having a baby together, and he wants the same thing," she explained. "We're just going to raise little Nugget as one big happy family."
2. A Mother's Day Fight Changed Everything
According to Bunnie Xo, the beginning of the end came during an argument on Mother's Day.
After years of ups and downs, she said emotions boiled over and she told Jelly Roll to file for divorce. "Well, then file the f—ing divorce papers," she recalled telling him.

Bunnie Xo said she packed a bag and left after the argument, and the two didn't speak for weeks.

"He was so mad, and we were so emotional that he ended up doing exactly what I told him to do and filing the divorce papers," she said.

3. The Divorce Wasn't Mutual
Another surprising revelation came when Bunnie Xo addressed the widespread assumption that the split was a mutual decision.
"It was not mutual," she said. While she acknowledged telling Jelly Roll to file, Bunnie Xo said the comment stemmed from anger and frustration, not from a genuine desire to end the marriage.
"Was I blindsided?" she asked before reiterating that she did not expect things to unfold the way they did.
Bunnie Xo said she believed the couple should have gone to therapy and worked through their issues, but ultimately came to accept the decision.

Now, she says they're focused on ending the marriage as positively as possible.
Jelly Roll Shares His Side
Just hours after Bunnie Xo's podcast episode was released, Jelly Roll addressed the divorce publicly for the first time during a concert stop in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
"While we're talking about liars, the internet is a liar too," he told the crowd.
The singer also shut down rumors that cheating played a role in the breakup. "Nobody cheated on nobody," Jelly Roll said. "She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it."
He also made it clear that his relationship with Bunnie Xo remains strong despite the divorce.
Me and my wife are best friends, we will always be best friends. I will love her. She will probably be the only woman I'll ever love the way I loved her.
Jelly Roll later echoed Bunnie Xo's comments about their future plans, telling fans that "every word" she said on the podcast was true.
While the marriage may be ending, both Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo appear determined to move forward together — just in a very different way than anyone expected.
